Hilux seat belt buzzer

Is there any way stop the seat belt buzzer going of. Its starting to do my head in, every time you get out to open a gate or drive around stock once you go above 10mph it starts to go off. Oh what kind of mpg are you getting from them, mine seems a bit thirsty compared to the izuzu it replaced.

Not sure of what model hilux you have but this below works for my 2006mdl 3.0ltr SR.
You can find the below on an Aussie website newhilux.net

Not that I'm against wearing a seat belt but there are times when you don't want it on. And those times you're normaly stressing about being bogged up to the sills! The last thing you need is an annoying beeper so here's how to turn it off without cutting or unplugging anything. It may take a couple of attempts.
1. turn the key to the ON position, foot off the brake
2. cycle the odometer with the trip reset button until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B )
3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. Get your seatbelt in your hand ready to put in
5. turn the key to the ON position. when the dash lights have come on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds.
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7. the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off

Just read this and went straight outside and did it. Worked a treat. Kudos

Just did mine a couple of days ago, it was driving me mental. The key sensor is next some wet day. Mine is a 2008 2.5 and it's doing 28mpg on a mix of towing and normal running about.
