Hi, we are in receipt of your email from Asda, while you are managing to engage with them, would you mind emailing them back and asking why they use the Canadian HMA stamp, rather than the UK HMC
I have sent an email about the code HMC or HMA will let you know when they respond. The date should have been 2017 on my first reply.
They were specific about the stamp HMA is halal which I queried on
meat purchased from them last week. Now binned.

@DaveF I’m not going to get dragged into a debate but I’m against Hala slaughter etc. But do you think you should have had a bit more respect for the animal that lived and died possibly in excruciating pain before just binning it ?
I would have either eat it or took it back to Asda and asked for my money back and as by the sounds of it was over a week old if they never refunded me I’d of left it strewn unwrapped over the floor and explained why to other shoppers if they asked.
Anyway good luck and happy Christmas.

Hi
Looking back that would be a better option. Every time I eat out I will make the point of asking whether the meat is halal. I have cancelled meals booked for this reason & told them why. I always hope the less people buy halal the less animals will be slaughtered in this way. I have made a point in not shopping in Asda & told them why. Don’t think they give a damn anyway. I am not an activist in any sense but it seems going back to the dark ages the way they are killed. You have a Good Christmas as well.

I absolutely agree. The truth is that those of the faith that is disproportionately influential in the Western world will ensure that NOTHING meaningful happens regarding the outlawing of religious slaughter.

We'll you've got it party right but probably got the 'faith' wrong. The reason it's never going to be banned is because of the influence of the Jewish lobby in the establishment including parliament and the media. No way will Kosher slaughter be banned thus no way will Muslim slaughter be banned. The Muslim lobby have nothing like the influence of the Jewish lobby.
