I bought a lister fusion during the year. Its abit heavy and bulky to use. Haven't held the horner in the flesh, but expect it to be nicer to use. What swayed me when buying, was I suspected the lister would be more reliable long term and probably has better quality internal parts built in to it. For easy or small jobs, I'm still reaching for my jakoti first though
This Lister is mains, Rambo portable? Not really comparing like for like, unless I'm missing something?
What are you using them for? I'd probably go with the Rambo, or the other li-ion battery clippers they sell (which are the same as what everyone sells) as you're not limited by a power cable...
the Rambo mains one is only mains AC to the transformer, beyond that the yellow cord up to the handpiece, ...well then its 24v DC so it is far safer in use.
Do i like mine ? .... yurs
How long have i had it ? .. well it must be a few yrs now.... keep the air vent clean , keep plenty of oil on him, keep gear sharp,..
............way to go....
Daughter clips horses as a side business (4 or 5 race horses a evening 3 or 4 times a week )bought a new lister fusion motor burnt out pretty quick sent it back and the company replaced it with a stronger motor she regularly sends clipping numbers to the company who are monitoring its performance .
Any type really but not too stuff thick like gear oil.
Iirc sae30 is recommended by some for shearing type handpieces but finer cutting proper clippers the proper special oil for them that you can get is a bit lighter weight / thinner than that .
Here we Always keep 200 l barrels of engine and transmission oil as its cheapest way of buying oil, so oil cans / containers usually get filled with universal engine oil.
