What's the best Gps steering system for a Sp Househam sprayer & the likely costs? We do have the Jd free gps on a tractor & would be happy with the accuracy of that if the dome etc could be utilitised

Recently had this fitted to our AR 3000 which I could add steering to if wanted but can't see the point as all trams are RTK drilled.

It can do variable rate N and controls 10 sections on a 24m boom using RTK signal

How much you want to spend and what do you want from it?

Having fitted autosection to a 2008 AR3000 with TMC, my advice would be rip out all househam control if you want to do anything with GPS.
Took a long time to get to the stage of 8 section control, no chance of VRA or steering without spending a lot on fieldmaster.
It took quite a bit of questioning to get to the stage of manual section control, then parts from a raspberry PI board to get it to work - it does.
If it has the same as Phils above then I would have been able to do it much more easily.

I'm not bothered by autosection etc, really just want an accurate autosteer for pre-em work & liquid fert on grass for a neighbour using a lightbar at the moment quite honestly me & it just aren't good enough.

Would consider looking at a Trimble CFX-750 display, Trimble FmX integrated display or Trimble TMX-2050 display using Trimble RangePoint RTX correction which would give you 15 cm pass-to-pass accuracy.

All of the above displays can be upgraded with Trimble EZ-Steer & Trimble EZ-Pilot assisted steering and Trimble Autopilot automated steering as well as to rate and section control with the Trimble Field-IQ system in the future.
