This shed needs replacing with a bigger one but does anyone know how close a shed roof can be to overhead power lines?

3m rings a bell, that’s what the power company say when they come to trim off trees that are too close to power lines. You have to be careful putting a new shed up as someone got jailed here after a worker was killed from power lines putting up a new shed on the roof.

Get your cheque book out nothing done for less than £10k!
Don't think western power get outa bed for 10k any more. Quoted 15k to move one pole that's been condemned.
Definitely sheds have to be 3 metres from power lines as I have never been so glad of a metre when my new shed had been erected and western power turned up to measure as if it was under 3 metres then line had to be turned instantly off and any works and costs would have been at my expense and no mates rates.
Apparently tho if you start work and then find their power line is in your way then they are obligated to move it for free. Total load of rubbish and all but as contrary to deal with as South west water?
