We were thinking of getting one then we were driven around a couple of farms in them while looking at rams and my dad's reply was no way he said at nearly 80 and being bounced around he wanted more comfort looked at some discos but for the age and mileage we wanted they werent cheap and after trying a Ranger we opted for that, pulls the trailer a dream that you wouldn't think it was there and is a lot more comfortable.

see the landrover basher`s have started already
They are probably just upset that all the slanty eyed crap they own is either stuck in a field, rotted away or completely worthless now say what you like about defenders none of the others come close as a workhorse they are definitely more comfortable but if you want that then don't buy a defender

Loved my old Landy but after being given a lift in friends newish LR I can see why they stopped making them ,,,,,, created by the devil if you ask me , I'm a biggish chap and there was no room in the bloody thing ,,,, friend told me to stop moaning ,,,,, he told me it was even worse on the drivers side ,!!!!!!!

So we have our first jap pickup turning up on Fri ,,,.. I will reserve judgement but most who have them love them

Why do I think you could change "Landy" and "Jap pickup" with John Deere and Ford in this thread and their would still be the same arguments with others pitching in different makes like Massey or Zetor.
