It rings a bell as last time I had a bull chopped it seemed a bloody long time too keep him in. I only waited 2 weeks and kicked him out. Luckily nothing was bulled but FGS don't take it as it only needs be a fortnight

My feeling is that it would be ok in less time but that sort of timescale is probably what you need to be sure.
