I've got some hedging I was planning on getting in last week/this week but the weather scuppered that. How long will the plants last in the bags? They're indoors and cool, presumably they'll be ok until next week?

In bags is ok for a month. Just.
If these are the black lined white outside type. Old feed sacks then put some hay or straw over.
Keeping the roots from drying out is paramount.
If the weather is similar to ours here in EA then your ground will be puuurrrrfect!
Just added 600 or so courtesy of WT including stakes, canes & a mix of guards to our planting scheme! Ours are all in as of end of November.

Add a little water to the bags occasionally and keep the top of the bags closed and they’ll keep for weeks.
