Lots of farmers are only too happy to sell their land for building. No one forces them to do it at gunpoint so farmers are as much to blame as anyone.I don't understand why building on land that can grow food is an issue, that is what people have always done and if they didn't all major cities would be sited on mountain tops or in a swamp.
Is there room in this country for more people? Of course there is, loads of it and money to accommodate them too if need be. I see it the same as any family in poverty, the major issue is nearly always bad management of funds rather than lack of.
If there are people that want to come here and work hard, make a better life for themselves and integrate into our country and it's culture then they are welcome as far as I am concerned because they will make it a better place.
If they choose to live off the state and insist on not integrating or adapting our ways they can feck right off as we have more than enough of them already, homegrown and otherwise.
