How much have you planted and how much is lost

about half the wheat area in here , lost probably 10% , after a general low yield harvest looks like another one on the way , surely there must be some rise in prices to come or are we going to get shafted properly to keep the majority happy ?

We got all our wheat drilled. Looked like into really good conditions, but now we have a lot of bad headlands. Anything with even minor drainage issues in combination with a lot of pre-em effects means I would say we will need to redrill 5% of the overall area, but more headlands beyond that 5% will be already lower yield potential.

I've drilled 2/3 my winter wheat. Based upon the wheat that is coming through, I've lost about half of that, but I'm living in hope that more might emerge...
drove up via Boston to get to Hundleby last week , a lot of water stood about

Wheat that went into ploughed/combi-drilled grass ley on 10th October looks pretty decent bar a couple of small hollows on headland. The wheat that went in on the same day on cultivated continuous wheat ground (that has to have a pretty strong black grass pre-em) looks like it will be a write off.

Supposedly 95% of the planned Scottish wheat area has been sown. But the trade say available spring barley seed is selling fast as farmers look towards ‘Plan B’.

Had an email from Adm mentioning 75% planted up blah blah , around here probably 50% and looking about you could say most planted in the last 3 weeks around here is lost
