Hopefully get on with our first dose of urea on our w/wheat and w/barley, what percentage of total N would you apply now?
Agronomist is recommending 40% on wheat and 50% on barley

Urea 120 kg n for first dose this week

If it had been warmer we would be looking at all on by the end of March
No till crops heavy land timing is flexible with regard to yield have a job to get crops too far forward here unless established in the first half of September
Last year most was on by 1st April

I presume this is for notill crops (given that it's in this section).
I go earlier on notill crops as you don't get the N released from cultivation and can loose tillers.
I do 3 splits + a protein dressing on milling wheats.
I put a third of total on in early march AN+S. A bit later than otherwise with the last dose.
