Like anything else, a lot comes down to the skill of the operator

I’ve seen B Doubles reverse around corners & Triple Road Trains back onto loading ramps at cattle yards.
I’ve also seen a single trailer struggle to reverse under an auger . . .

Thanks for the replies. I was wondering what hedge modifications I would have to do to get one along the lane which is wide enough but the bends are too tight (public road). I cannot speak for other farmers on Dartmoor but IMO access is becoming an issue.

You would most likely need permission from the local authority and/of highways authority in which case a consultant that speaks their language may help.

It’s worth going bigger than a standard wagon as if you take a low loader in or something with axles at the back they are horrible to get in places. I could easily get my full size artic up my drive with no bother. Then I borrowed a friend goose neck low loader which was physical shorter than my normal trailer and it did quite a bit of hedge adjustments of its own on the way in. Lol.

We have had a tandem axle artic in with a short trailer and steering axle (15t cap?) and once we had a lorry and drag in but the lorry had a steering axle at the back. Never a full length artic or a normal lorry and drag.

I was just having a look and we have a 20m x 20m turning area I made for artics and I could get my two axle wagon and thri axle 12.5m trailer. Think it was about 15m nose to tail. I could spin it round in that with the trailer wheels pretty much stationery. Had tri axle wagons in regularly and never had any issues. Road wise to be safe on a normal single road width I’d say go for a 10m+ radius on your corners and the tighter the road is the bigger I’d go.
Google earth is handy for working things out as if you look at some corners you know they can get round and try and cross reference that with the road your thinking off it will let you know where to trim.
