How old is this drainage?

Dealing with a wet spot and followed the old stone drain up that was chocked and then came across Aller branches laid under the stone. I was always told Napoleonic prisoners of War drained it when it was owned by The Earl of Portsmouth.

Many drains like that are medieval or even older I've seen some roman drains.

Roman drains at Y Gaer - well known Roman fort on neighbouring farm- still running nearly 2000 years on. Rumour has it that @Kevtherev put them in.
