How to Stop Animals Burrowing beneath Shipping Containers?

Hi,

I need to stop rabbits (occasionally rats) from burrowing underneath shipping containers we have around the farm yards. They are all sited on road planing hard standings but their pallet tine points / uneven ground obviously present an entry point into somewhere quite attractive for these animals to live. Just wondered what people find is the most durable solution - bricks / concrete / wire mesh perhaps?? Thanks

Imagine, he had just said to Mrs "If they are all coming for bbq tonight, I'll just pop out and tidy up the garden and sort that ant hill".
On to plan B.

Someone I usually consider a complete idiot suggested pushing an empty 50kgs fertiliser bag down the hole. To my surprise, it worked! Apparently, they don't like trying to dig through plastic.
