Seems like all the forecasters, having missed out on the dire potential of Nadine in 2012, are now bigging it up on Humberto.

Just when we only needed a reasonable week to get all our 2020 crops safely in.

5 or 6 inches rain due within 10 days, apparently.

And unlike in autumn 2012, when wheat was £200/t forward, this time a partial crop will leave no margin.

So, the default here is 25% Beans, 25% Winter Oats planted in the spring, 25% SOSR and 25% fallow

Which will lead on to a cracking good year in 2021.

Just now sent an email to this effect to my bankers.

Bit of a damp squid, so far.

Meanwhile, squillions of quid of the new hardware installed in Exeter busily trying to make good on the 2012 Hurricane Nadine software failure.
