Listening to Mr Happy. No ordinary o ring won't work and you need the back up. Let me have a picture of the pump part number and I will look into a seal kit. Why do you require a seal kit @jd24?

Okay I think the relief valve in the end plate (spring cup and ball bearing) was and is leaking the cup is pitted but I can fixed that with my lathe(I can send pics) . I get flow and some pressure but not enough. I could push the ram back against the pump.

When I took the end plate off I noticed the seals are completely flat and one has obvious signs of leakage in a small crack. The pumps was making noise like relief valve going the hole time....

Pump no 13354 78cc most likely Romanian is likely orginal 1971.

That looks like a Sunstrand steering pump to me. So could please post a picture of the name plate. What's the pump fitted to?

Its a UTB universal 550 tractor on the power steering.

Sorry @jd24 its been one of those weeks. Thanks for the pictures as it looks like the unit is a Caporni hyd pump. I would look on Google to see who the Caporni Hyd agent is in the UK or on Ebay there is a company called Universal Tractor Parts they may well keep a seal kit.

When you say expensive... how much? If can find a pump why can't the supplier sell you a seal kit?
