Hi any ideas on this lift and lower selector switch . It will lift up on switch but when you switch back to go down will not lower and light goes out if you put the switch in the middle the one at the back will work up and down. One other thing it was doing the other day as I was subsoilng it would ocasionaly just lift it's self out of the ground then a few yards further on just drop its self backing work without touching any thing. Any ideas thanks if you have.

Have you tried having the draft/positition mixer knob in different positions?

it is the switch, known issue
take it out and if your careful you can open it up and spray some contact cleaner in and a light rub with fine emery on the contacts

I have put a new switch in and it is just the same mechanic dates if it is not the switch it is the control box says they can be repaired so I think I will have to use the back switch that over rides the control box till I can take the controls box out but it will have to be in winter.

Very much doubt it will be the control box, could be mudguard switch, a draft sensor or hyd cross shaft moving side to side effecting the position sensor.
