After several hours of getting drenched pressure washing my robot milkers this afternoon and then while scaping out and cutting bales open I got seriously soaked again by very heavy rain I started shivering vigorously and feeling very light headed and slowed right up and couldn't hardly move as breathing slowed up rather rapidly. I am also suffering from a fairish head and chest cold. I just about finished and got in doors for a long shower and warm clothes and heat and hot toddy, but it was frightening how quickly early signs of hypothermia can come on.
Please be careful and dress up appropriately as this could be really serious if was further away from home on maybes a quad bike. As alot of us work alone so please be careful.
