I hate modern tractors

I have stalled on John Deere 30 series. Have 2 6830s and a 7530 all around 6000 hours. I've driven the newer ones and find them so complicated with so many electronics to go wrong.
I well remember dad and uncle demoing a new 10 series jd and sadly declaring that they would never last with all the electronics on them. Also the magic box that smoothly changed forward to reverse would surely be an expensive repair item.

I’m sitting on a quote right now to change our T7.210 autocommand for a new T7.230 autocommand (new style cab)
Tractor is in stock, let’s just say I could add a 2019 T7.270 I’ve seen online with guidance and 2600 hours for less than the cost to change…

I’ve a 11 year old 270, compared to a new one apart from the fancy cab which is only window dressing there’s nothing in it except some LED lights which are easily retrofitted and about £120k
New cab is really smart though. Definately feels and looks very premium. Also gearbox not as noisy and can hardly hear stuff like the handbrake noise now. Suspension seems to actually perform front axle was moving like a John Deere. Overall really nice but my current tractor is literally as new. Just missing guidance really but it’s a struggle to even think about the figures in hand. It’s just all gone mental.

Just went onto the nh website, cab looks the same to me, only difference that stands out on first look is the wiper where theyv finally put it where mf has had it for years

That looks like the 2 versions. Top one looks wider down the side of the bonnet. I'm told it's too big for the swb models, and they'll end up with the T6s, like they were in T6000 era. Maybe with dynamic command?

There a very nice tractor, but like every thing there also very expensive. I’ve said this before many times if it were my money I would buy a modest property rent it out and use the income to buy a 270 like I have.

cheaper to fit a aftermarket guidance kit on the one you have.

Or just buy nothing :)

If you don't need a new tractor, why are you bothering to enquire about prices at all?

Friend of mine has just swapped in a JD for a new one. Basically I think the decision making came down to had the money to do so and so it made it a sensible decision to refresh a key asset in his business. I suspect a very attractive deal was also struck by the company supplying it despite interest rates being as they are.

Salesman was in for another reason and eyes lit up when he saw mine, he said about the new one and he could find a home for mine right away. Next thing I have a quote. Easy as that really. Like always if it had stacked up I’d have changed.

Didn’t plan on it last Time but it was a no brainer. This time not so much.
