For france
mecoprop ends next year (but only rumour at the moment)
IPU ends this year
all others banned
glyphosate only certain formulations allowed on feed wheat pre harvest but not approved for bread making or durum wheat or mais, No glyphosate sales allowed to the general public, only professional grower with certificate, we have been without clopyriphos for a long time,
5 metre zone non treatment next too all watercourses,

A lot of chemicals appear to have vanished in the last few of years. I am surprised the French haven't kicked-off about it more, knowing their fondness for spraying things.

Why does anybody think that if we come out of the EU there will have more chemistry available to UK growers. Its going to take probably five years to come out, and the government of the day will then have to pass new regulations concerning pesticides and my guess is that they will be based on what is happening in Europe. So stay in and at least we know the devil we are facing, and better still the farming industry will have several million voices, rather than the 20,000 or so in the UK which are always seen as being an unnecessary burden on the tax payer and very low down on the list when it comes to funding or regulation (regulation in favour of the greatest number of voters ie: greens and urbanites)

One small request from europe though,
please elect serious MEPs who will work hard to protect your interests in europe, not have the downfall of it as there primary objective.

The UK would probably have to establish all it's own licensing and regulation criteria again. So you can assume companies will be unwilling to pay for licensing work on on low volume or income products for the UK market, limiting the number of products further. Same will go for veterinary pharmaceuticals.

Why do we need to redo everything from scratch, if it has passed our current criteria what is the problem ? Or is it just another scare story and money for more pen pushers, sounds just like the EU creating problems where there arent any
