To be correct, after william wallace , scotland was free for 300 yrs
Possibly because it didn't have anything anyone wanted. Even Ceaser decided it wasn't worth invading and just walled them out to stop them causing hassle.... 🤔

I agree that the oil wealth was squandered and not fairly shared but similar economic abuse has been applied by the London elite to us English too. London acts like a cancer that sucks resources out of the rest of the country imho.
