iH 276

Hello and good day to all. I recently purchased an old iH 276, have had it running and it seems OK mechanically. Apart from the brakes, there are none. However the wiring is a real mess, I'm surprised it did not catch fire.
I cannot find a voltage regulator although I'm sure it must have had one to start with. Does anyone know the location of the regulator or can anyone tell me what to look for.
I could really use a wiring diagram if anybody can point me in the right direction.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

It should be on the firewall facing the inlet manifold and diesel filter. You can see it in this video.

The regulator should be behind the panel just above the stop knob.
Brakes are relineable friction discs riveted on.
Many thanks Sir, will check Tuesday.

Hello again, can see it in video, however it's not present on my 276. Don't know how it's working without one. Looks like a complete new rewire job needed. Thnx again. John.

You do have a dynamo fitted and not an alternator? The Lucas ACR series alternator fitted has no external control unit required. Whats the voltage across the battery with the engine running fast? My 276 has a dynamo and control unit but the later 444 has the Lucas ACR15 alternator. The firewall on the 444 still has the holes for where a dynamo control unit would mount.

Hello again from a wet and windy day here in North Wales. I'm not sure if it's a dynamo or an alternator. Nameplate is missing. Do remember voltage being just under 15v at high rpm. I consider myself to be OK practically, but poor with electrics. If I could find a decent wiring diagram I think I would be OK. Many thanks for taking your time to assist me with this. John
