Help needed please. Our hydro charge pump is getting tired and flow is tested low.
Where could we find a replacement pump? I would be very grateful for any information to point us in the right direction.
Thanks.

Maybe try Kevin Kingston.
I believe he has a number of hydro tractors.
If he has no parts he might be able to point you in the right direction.

The problem has taken an unexpected turn. Realistically it would have cost £5k to renew the charge pump and reseal the hydro. Apparently the higher pressure in the system might blow the old seals which are 40 years old. But will the hydro need more work than that? Could we source those parts? it may not necessarily be good as new even after all that.
An alternative is to fit a manual gearbox and basically end up with a 784. That appears to be more viable in the longer term and it is the way it will probably end. Intatrac helpfully provide all the parts along with new clutch, brake band etc.
It’s a shame to lose such a great transmission but nothing is forever.

Yes they aren’t perfect but excellent for some applications. What is now going to be a 784 seems rather dull in comparison!
We still have a 523 Agriomatic which had a clutch less shuttle in 1967 so again IH was ahead of its time. If only it had power steering!
