IH Industrial Loader Identification

Can anybody identify what model this is?
Dad had a quick look at it today as a potential winter project.
3 cylinder engine, no equipment on the back only weights.
What transmission would be likely to have?
Torque converter, shuttle, or just the regular 8 speed gearbox?
Thanks.

Is it based on something like a 248? It’s the Doncaster Worldwide range anyhow not the previous Bradford built. No idea of transmission though. Does it run?
Could be a 248 by the looks of it.
I havn't heard it running but its supposed to have a good engine, I will go and have a good look at it some evening this week hopefully.

Looks like a 248, I used to have one. It had a shuttle gearbox, good strong loader ideal as long as you count keep the back on the floor. It was a handy little thing although I threw the compressor away that was on the back and fitted a 3pt hitch.

I think we had one. Called a 4343b or something.
I was close.
Ours had compressor on and I made loader backplate to take same implements as our Howard loader. I remember it was low on compression, the bores must have been glazed from life ticking over.
It went when we bought a JCB loadall.

Went and had a look this evening.
Good engine, brakes, shuttle gearbox.
Front axle needs tightening up.
Cabs not too bad apart from the roof.
Worth a punt at 1000 i reckon?
They were a good tool. My grandparents farm had two or else three in the ninetys with shear grab on one Muck grab on another etc. If you can get her for 800 you will be singing. They are heavy little buggers if you have to weigh it in.

Yes 3434B with German 3 cylinder built engine & transmission - from memory if you pull the stop out half way when turning over it acts as a cold start by allowing excess diesel through, ate clutches on the Tarmac Gangs Job - but stood up to the abuse fairly well .
