Good tractors or bad ? Going to buy as a restoration and single rotor rake tractor. Any indication on weight, as this is approx 120 miles away and was considering the car trailer and ranger to collect

Not to bad, the gearshift is not the best just check how rotten the cab is don't know what parts are available for the cab now but the rest of the skid should be available Wight don't no that one but will not look right on a car trailer just my opinion ?

Too heavy to be legal behind the Ranger, given the trailer's likely to be over half a tonne. The flat deck Sekura is normally a bundle of rust and as mentioned above, the gear change set up was very poor.Too many moving parts and lack of greasing. Under slung fuel tanks and electric fuel lift pump behind the rh back wheel.Prone to corrosion in the wiring. If the brake pedals go to the floor, most likely needing the half axles removed to replace the brake piston o rings. And the handbrake .......unlikely to be working......
Has it got TA? If so,that makes it worse, especially if it isn't working right.........
Sorry for the negativity but .........the Sekura cabbed versions were just s@$t!

Thanks for the points I’ve had to do the brake o rings in another case ih I own and that isn’t a fun job. Slightly on the fence on the tractor as it’s cheap, but it’s a bit of a trek for a quick mission out to check it over, just risky towing it home in the dark,

Would an 885 have the same brake issues? Mine now needs pumping (one side only) to work properly

Yes. Just the same. Check the reservoir in front of the windscreen is filling and staying mostly filled with oil.If ok,bleed at the trumpet housing. If no better, you can disconnect the brake pipe were it enters the back end and plug the pipe. The pedal should pump hard and hold.If it doesn't,the master cylinder needs attention and if it does, then the 3 o rings need replacing at the brake piston on the bad side.

There will be lots of problems with that tractor and if you decide to buy it
You could end up regretting it
I would say the weight would be in the
region of 2.7 tonnes

I used to move my 784 complete with topper on the ifor behind old defender, it didn’t seem that heavy as it did when I moved the 3 ton digger, wasn’t flat cab but can’t see that making a big difference
