I'm looking At a 7040 new holland

The 6000 series along with the swb T7s have a well known problem with the so called 50k bearing. It's not an expensive part in itself, but getting so it and fixing the damage it causes can be.

Dont forget the engine and gearbox getting along like Al and Peg bundy.

If you can even call it an engine. Bloody thing is hopeless.

Most T7s around here have had them go, you mentioned it’s the SWB ones, are the LWB ones different?
I don't know. I've only heard of problems with 50k bearings on 6080s, T7.200s etc. There aren't as many LWB models around here so I don't know if the design is different or if people have been lucky so far.

For a supposedly 150hp tractor it feels pretty asthmatic to me.
Must be the seat, steering, pedal interface that’s faulty with the one you used as I can assure you there as good as anything else if not better.

Ours pulls well enough and goes even better once the boost light comes on. And I know for a fact it’s not been meddled with or chipped/remapped in any way.
