Can anyone tell me the process for importing cattle or pig slurry in Northern Ireland

do you need to submit any plans?

Not as far as I know, whoever you are getting it from will put it on his nitrates declaration form in Jan, assuming they are needing to show they exported it to get them under the units per acre.

Don’t think you need to but think you need records for digestate.
Double check your figures and keep below 160kgN/ha with the imported stuff and you’ll be fine

Wasn’t sure how to work it out but I see there a calculator on the Daera website

The exporter will need to complete the paperwork and give you a copy. You just need to make sure it doesn't push you past the 170kgN/ha limit. If you're member of the farmers Union, they'll work out your nitrogen loading free of charge.
