In-Calf Cow Lopsided

I've got an old cow and for the last few weeks the calf (presuming it's the calf) has been drooping way, way down on the cows right ride, as you look from her rear. She's now away preparing to calve so will have eyes on her like a hawk but has anyone else seen this before? I have never come across it so just wondering what others experiences have been like and what causes it??

I have no photo but I'll try and get one. But it was slightly affecting her mobility and when I say she was hanging, I mean it was only a foot-ish off the ground, if that.

If you were to look at her from her left you wouldn't think she was in-calf

Cheers

When we are questioning whether a cow is in calf here, the first thing we look for is a lump on the lower right hand side when viewed from the back - they look sort of egg shaped. If she's an older cow is it just that her stomach muscles are what they were?!

I worded my post poorly, she is definitely in-calf

There's a good chance it's the broad ligament, it suspends the uterus within the pelvic cavity.
If this happens they look as though they have a severe abnormality on one side, and looks like an empty cow on the other.

It doesn't have to be an old cow either, I had a cow (4th calver) that it happened to.
She calved ok by herself, but I culled her after she reared that calf.
