Will there be new attractive incentives going forward for farm scale for AD and Hydrogen and does anybody have any ideas on the models that could be used?

The holistic benefits of food waste to energy must be good tho, closing the nutrient cycle a bit, got to stack up a bit rather than just looking at power/ac.

The trouble with genuine food waste going into AD , which sounds good, but would it ever be positive in energy terms. Making the maize to gas is difficult enough

As hydrogen generation is mentioned I've always wondering are there small scale hydrolysis systems available? Surely the logical answer to energy storage, excess electricity at peak productuon times used to produce hydrogen, then hydrogen sold or used to produce electric at peak demand

Simple answer to your question is Yes. At the energy show in Glasgow 4 years ago and a company was demonstrating such a system and its use on a farm in Cheshire. Efficiency at the time was not great but has improved since. However efficiency is not really relevant if the alternative is the energy being lost.
