Increasing water pressure

We are about to take delivery of a static caravan to site next to some buildings away from the main farm.

The water pressure there is usually low.
I was wondering about a tank and booster pump with a pressure switch ? Particularly to power a shower

If this would work, what size tank & pump would I need ?
It could be sited either in the buildings or next to the static

Any advice welcome

Thanks

Not a simple cure I'm afraid that fits within the water regulations, have fitted break tanks and booster sets in the past, but quite expensive and need good insulation to prevent freezing and the opposite issue of Legionella.
What are you heating the shower with, electric or gas ?

Better with a bigger vessel ,,if there is a limited flow into the vessel , and that will only work if there is no stored water after the pump, and vessel

If the shower is heated by something like the Morso instantaneous water heater, the more water flow you supply to it, the worse it will be, these are a poor output for hot water, best you'll get is a naff shower, low water pressure isn't a detriment to this type of water heater I'm afraid :(

Will check the booster out when I get back home tonight :)

Hi - Im Tony, and in a former life (for 12 years) I was involved in the water treatment industry specifically in the control of Legionella.

The shower head (at home) is one of the biggest likely sources for the dissemination of the legionella bacteria - I would suggest this is always attached to a mains water system. Always kept clean and descaled (on the inside as well as the exterior).

Above is a link to the part of the legislation that will tell you the absolute minimum level for meeting the requirements of the legislation. Table 2.1 on pages 31-33 will tell you the maintenance and monitoring requirements.

Whilst Im now involved in the selling of Activated Carbon (for Water and Air Treatment - H2S removal etc). If I can help with anything L8 wise (Legionella) - happy to point people in the right direction.

Hi Bruce

Did you ever get this sorted?
We’re about to embark on the same kind of purchase and restrictions with the water pressure. I’d be very interested to know how you resolved it.
