Inducing Labour in sheep

What's the best drugs for inducing sheep to make them lamb? Got a dozen left to and there is 3 ewe lambs carrying singles that are now 12 days overdue. Would estremate work?

Colvasone, jab them and if they are full time they will start to lamb 36 hours after jabbing.

With estrumate you need to be pretty certain the lambs are full time and ready or youl kick yourself.

12 days over :0 that's impossible?
Is it possible they've slipped the lambs? We had 3 empty ewe lambs that were scanned in lamb 11 weeks ago. We knew 1 had aborted but weren't close to them for a month after scanning so mayve missed the aborting on the others..

Definitely still in lamb. I only know they are over cos I took the tip away on day 17 and now on day 29

Hmm I wouldn't be so sure myself and assume their empty if more than 2 days over?
@bovine is this possible?

In my early pedigree ewes, all sponged, I have had ewes go to a maximum of 8 days overdue (& massive because of it). I now induce everything in that mob, when there about 20 left, which works well.

As @MJT posted, 6ml of colvasone/dexadreson will trigger parturition if they are close. However, I wouldn't consider using it for anything but a synchronised group.

At 12 days over, I'd assume they've returned, so another 5 days off due.

You can't induce sheep with prostaglandins (Estrumate etc).

You need to use corticosteroids - Colvasone, Rapidexon etc. The dose of 8ml (16mg) is in the textbooks. They need to be ready to lamb. Are they bagged up? Why not just wait?

Can you 'knock' a lamb? Other option would be to get them scanned. We do various loads to check empty.

Bagged up with a big fanny ready to drop. Checked them 10 days ago and could feel lambs through belly

How can they repeat if I've taken tup away?

I didn't say they'd repeated, I personally think it's impossible unless the sperm was held in them for 10 days like is possible in humans but animals don't have sex for pleasure - only humans and dolphins.

I would say either a ram has broken in, left in, dates are wrong or it's an immaculate conception.
