Insurance value on classics

Hello all,

Just wondered if anyone could give me an estimated value for the following tractors for insurance purposes please?

35x red 1963

International farmall 12 1931

MF3085 Autotronic 8000hrs L reg 1993

David Brown 990 P reg Can be converted back to conventional tractor.

Blimey I think we have been under insuring.Infact the farmall has not been insured before. The last one I think we should treat as a DB 990 as if it hadn't been converted?

It was just off top off my head but they are all very tidy and would struggle to replace them, though what you have to watch is they will only pay market value if you claim so do a bit of googling!

My Grandad developed it in the 60's/70's was for beet and onion drilling,hoeing and potato ridging. Idea was to sit behind your implements so you could see what was happening better. Back then we had a lot of bog oak bits and pieces in the land which would quite easily block a drill/hoe etc. Also he could drill and hoe quicker. Band sprayed aswell at the same time. They made around 10 machines and sold a few locally. The machine was done so you could convert it back if you needed the tractor for something else.

Used to use a contractor to drill beet
One day found him flat on the floor next to to drill
Thankfully did not have to give him kiss of life, but after coming round admitted doctor said he must never work with insecticides !

What way would you go on the road, looking behind you?

No drive it forwards facing backwards

Ie, the small wheels were at the front when driving forwards.

Never had a problem at road junctions, only had to negotiate one between our two farms.

Insurance? disconnect the battery's ,get some fire extinguishers, if you need to drive on the Queen's highway, Farm Webb do third party only for £35 ! So you'll soon save enough to buy another classic.

Can't find farm Webb online? All these classics were bought new!

I use these brokers for the tractors, personally, I hate paying out on any insurance other than one needs ,ie, public / employers liability and minimum cover to go on the road.
