I have now modified my old Fortschritt wholecrop header to my BiG X 580. After just trying it out a couple of metres it seems to work fine. Although there seem to be some room for improvement on the crop flow. From using the Fortschritt on my old BiG X 650 I know that I need to have pretty good speed or thick crop to make the crop flow work good but since I just tried a couple of metres I am not sure how much the speed will improve the crop flow.
On my way back home I started to think about the intake rollers. On the top roller the wear liner has a smooth side and a serrated side. Which side do you guys use for wholecrop?
