I have oil coming up out the steering wheel shaft in the cab . I’m presuming seals or something must be away in the box. Are seals available or new unit can’t see much advertised through vapormatic or anything. How do u even get to it seems incredibly tight in there
Seals are probably only available from main dealer I remember in 1977 there was a run of steering units leaking, it required removal of unit and special tool to install new seal perhaps you don't actually need special tool
If it's a Danfoss steering unit then seal kits are available. You will need the special tool to fit the shaft seal and the service book so you correctly dismantle and reassemble it. The reason is they need timing when you put it back together otherwise you end up with a hyd motor. There are new units available and probably a good direct replacement unit, all we need is the part number of the current unit.
