International 454

Does anyone know where I can obtain a new radiator for the International 454. Tractor Parts Co. have one that will fit but it has a much longer filler neck. Any help much appreciated.

That's what I am having done, ideally I should have prefered a new one as the brackets at the bottom of the rad were pretty weak.

The longer neck is about 40mm extra, it doesn't look too out of place on my 674 anyway, Radiator is exactly the same otherwise, a radiator shop could shorten or swap the neck over

Hi, with hindsight that is what I should have done, the recore is costing the same as the new radiator plus two 90 mile trips to Aberdeen . Thanks for your comments anyway.

I thought there was a place in Inverness and a place in Dundee that did re-cores - one of them offered an uplift and drop off service as well.

I expect there is, but I only know Aberdeen radiators, which is now Glacier. I would expect the fetch and carry service would only be for a limited distance.

A lot of radiator companies have a UK wide collection and delivery service - usually just using the normal parcel couriers - I did see one company that sent you a packing box with the return label already on it - you just phoned the courier to have it uplifted.
