Hi,I’m looking or hoping to find someone with knowledge of IH 885xl 1982, have a few problems,knowing that I could spend days if not months trying to rectify problems,where as professional would do it much better . I’m based in Somerset,so hopefully someone near,thanks for taking the time to look at this message.

Hello,Thankyou for coming back to me,when I have mower on the back, the tractor Hydraulics fluctuate up and down,when it’s lifted,and you can hear like air around the back end and near the mcv near the hydraulic oil filter?

Is it actually correcting it self as the hydraulic arms drop? This points to a leak in the cylinder or lift valve. I take it you are using only the position lever and not the draft lever? Using the draft lever will make the hydraulics behave out of ordinary as the tractor will be sensing.

Yes we’ll Mur, been with it all afternoon; thinking it’s something to do with the draft settings,I’ve set the rod to 84mm between eyes,but had enough of climbing in and around tractor,I’ve put hedge trimmer on now so will have another go when I’ve finished hedge trimming,with hedge trimmer and wheel of,I’ll see if I can send you a video of it,ps volume on..thankyou for your help,hopefully your keep in touch.

Sorry ment to say,no position lever only works enough to release pickup hitch other than that it has no resistance.
