Inverter welder question

I’m wondering is it ok to run my inverter welder of a generator or would it burn it out. Have a few pens in rented ground that I could do with tidying up and would be great if it worked

A generator friendly welder is supposed to be able to cope with voltage spikes from the generator. A lot of old and/or cheap generators don't have good auto voltage regulation and thus will wreck the welder.
Therefore, if the genny has good AVR and is big enough, it'll not wreck the welder, be it friendly or not and the welder won't wreck the genny either. But if the genny has bad AVR, the welder will die and likewise if it isn't big enough, the genny will die.

We have several inverter welders all running off a 25 ova genny. 2 3 phase and 4 single phase. Not all at the same time. All work fine, 3 different brands but all inverter. Make sure the genny has the appropriate smoothing voltage regulator on it and all will be well. If not add one in.

When they first come out, they were going pop left right and center as they need a good continuous supply to run, which you don't really get from a generator.
Not sure if they have sorted the problem or not yet?
Probably an idea to contact the manufacturer and ask. Find more information here
