Iodine bolus

Probably been a tread on this recently, but don't want to trawl back through them all.

Putting all our ewes out on either rape, or rape/ turnip mix, depending on being pregnant or with lambs at foot. Putting them out there in January after the dairy farms start telling people with sheep to bugger off.
Looking to bolus them for iodine.
Basically, what is the best/ most cost efficient bolus? Or just put a mineral bucket out for them (wish I could find a smiley holding a fishing rod)?

We find it cost effective to dose them with potassium iodide, assuming you don't need any other trace elements

We tended to do it every 4-6 weeks, normally covers them for period they are on brassicas, sure someone better qualified than me will enlighten you soon. Used to drench ewes like this all year round but are now using 24/7 bolus, yes we do need selenium and cobalt, but still drench ewes going onto kale as belt and braces approach. Problem with using free access mins or licks is no guarantee all will take in amount needed
