After 25 years of being on two large arable farms, I ended up on a farm with a herd of Simmentals. Never worked with stock before, luckily took to it fairly well. Never class myself as a stockman but know the basics and got as much satisfaction from helping a difficult calving, walking Bulls to ploughing a straight furrow or a nice repair job.

Does anything count in this thread?
Cos I wondered is it just me that like cheese and jam sandwiches? The family look at me in a peculiar way when I dine on this fine cuisine.

I so love cheese and jam sandwiches too, I definitely get strange looks too,but they wont try them so they don't know what there missing. ;)
Cheese and jam definitely a yum ,yum, yum moment.:D

Ah now see, when I first met my OH, he produced one of these 'Jam & Cheese' sarnies for lunch one day and I was flabbergasted and said 'What on earth??'. He told me he'd always had these butties from being a young lad (bred in Cheshire). I'm a Lancashire lass (father's a Scotsman) and this concoction had never reached us over the border!!

So, I tried it and I loved it!! In fact I now like Cheese and Jam on Ryvitta with a bit of butter on, rather than bread so you get a crunchy sarnie :)!
