Is it too early to drill wheat?

I've got a field of potatoes that's just been harvested, it's a little messy and has some small areas of lying water. I have disced it to level it (avoiding wet patches). I want to subsoil/ shakerate at an angle and drill before it rains as fairly heavy ground. Is middle to end of next week to early to drill wheat?

Suitable variety at suitable seed rate don't see why not. Claire always springs to mind at an early driller but i expect a fellow tff'er will have experience of drilling a newer variety early.
