Isuzu 1.9 engine

Im interested to hear from anyone who has this truck in a manual.
We are just not getting on with it, its got an annoying lag as when you accelerate it goes, dies then goes. Also if its doing an exhaust burn its almost un drive able as its does similar but a go,lag,go lag. yes were getting a double lag.
Its been on a laptop and doing as it should regarding regens etc
Surely they shouldn't be this bad?
Tempted to dump it back at the dealers and ask for another truck see if that does it but such a crap time of year and we have dog pens in the canopy it would be a real pain for us but might be the only way

Have a manual 1.9, about three months old, averaging 33 mpg, all short runs on A and B roads . Never even noticed it doing any regen'.

Didn’t you have the same trouble a while ago with this? Ship it back to dealers and tell them you want it gone, longer it goes on the less chance you have of getting it sorted

Ours does a lot of short runs but also a 160 mile round trip on the motorway fairly regularly. Also lags when I overtake a lorry between 60-70.
Do like the truck it's a utility spec agri plus and exactly what we need for work but the engine let's itself down. Gutless as hell pulling only a 40 gate rappa yard.

We have a 1.9 utah albeit an auto. It's our second dmax and most likely wont be changing brands. We think it's great tbh and the only problem we have with it is on the canopy the back window doesn't fasten properly and it's a right pain as the back light then stays on until you jiggle the door on one side. Absolutely no problems towing our mini digger around to jobs either.

Plainly something wrong with it - possibly MAP or boost sensor- take it back and start getting nasty. Dealer should easily be able to spot issue on a road test with scanner in live data mode even if there are no fault codes present. Aware there have been half dozen software updates for the 1.9 already. Also a dealer fitted re-map that takes it to ~190hp- but fix the underlying issue first.
