Isuzu Dmax Fuel Filter Light

Fuel filter light coming on when accelerating hard.

Garage recommended ragging it in 4th gear. I did question how this will unblock a blocked filter?

Current filter only 6k miles old, generally fuelled up at Esso never from cans.

Anyone else been told similar?

Thats the regen light though, mine is the fuel filter warning light.

You're probably right , I will try it to see if a regen is triggered

Just spoken to garage, fuel filter is separate issue.

Just me being thick and I'm sorry if it is. But why not just change the filter?? Mileage means nothing any more. How long ago as most services are now said to be done at time intervals rather than mileage.

I'm going to change filter tomorrow. Truck was serviced February this year, 6000 miles ago. Service intervals are 12000 miles.

I had the same when pulling loaded trailer. it come and go for spells until one day i had near no power at all. Got filter changed and been fine since, until this morning i noticed the light on again. It due another service soon anyway

Perhaps changing the filter more often is the answer.

Depends on filter make. Genuine or oem? Cheap filters need changing more than reccomended.

The current filter was fitted by the Isuzu dealer, I assume it was genuine??

Or try letting the water out of the water trap at the bottom of the filter, if one fitted?
Then go for filters ..........

We have one at work and just keep a spare filter on the shelf now and change as soon as the light persists! Made the mistake of getting one from the dealer first time was around the £45 mark[emoji85] a Mann one is £6 generally only need to put one in in between services

Mine comes on every 15-18000 miles. The garage told me the filter is very fine and clogs too easy. Mine is only filled up at bp and never ran that low.

Done 12,000 miles since last service and no issue so far.
