I can get 55 autumn lambs in my 12ft box with decks, which doing the maths works out around 62 in a 14ft.

Price wise, you could well be waiting 6 months as that’s what the wait was last year. Going off IW website their around £5,750 for a 14ft

I went for a 12ft Nugent off @Tractor_dealer and I’m very happy with it!

14 foot tri axle is 1400 kg without decks
My maths was worked out on my Nugent 12ft being around 1200kg.. 1 of the reasons I went twin axle and not triple, I know i’d fill it whatever the size but I knew i’d Possibly be 7-800kg over if I filled a 14ft, that extra axle, wheels etc all adds up.

I’ve a 5 year old iw tri axel falling to bits thinking of changing to another make now but it was the lighter weight of the ifor that attracted me to it at the time but don’t think I’ll try another

Good on you for avoiding Ifor, they are tossers.

anyone priced a new IW tri axle with sheep decks lately ? How many 40 ish kg lambs in such a trailer ?
Thinking of upgrading

Do you mean wheels on the outside, or wheels underneath?

Either are great trailers for shifting big numbers. But, if you fill it you can guarantee you're over the weight limit...

Stability is probably the biggest issue, and why you don't see them...

But I've looked several times and reckon the best is a 14ft twin axel option - Ifor and Nugent certainly offer one. Max floorspace with minimum unladen weight.
