JCB 225 Robot WIF fault..

Hi we have a customer with a JCB 225 Robot and the water in fuel displays straight away on start and nothing works.. we replaced the sensor several months ago and has been all good since but has now come on again we have disconnected it but the message won’t clear any suggestions many thanks
