Jcb 310s & post banger

Hi. I’ve made a bracket to put the post knocker on the jcb. All working well but seems slow knocking(coming down) anyone got one on a 310 here.?
Somebody did mention to me that I’d need a return piped up.? Any ideas.?

The return flow isn't getting back to the hydraulic tank quick enough. Have you got it going back via the JCB spool valve?

Yea, both pipes plumbed into front hyd aux.

We put a long length of 3/4 hose on the return to give a bit of capacity for oil when the hammer falls

Would a old largeish accumulator T'ed to the return line with low pressure inside help?

Could be something to look into. Nothing can be straight forward. ?

Can you temporarily connect the spool valve tank port directly into the hydraulic tank and try it to see if it improves things.?

Have done a few by fitting a t piece into 3rd service pipe with a tap back to tank opening tap to increase return flow and closing tap to use 3rd service pressure
