JCB 418 S Axles

Anyone had issues with axle diffs on these machines, replaced front axle diff approx 2 years ago, just dropped oil out of rear and teeth stuck to magnet, not a cheap project, any existing problems.

There famous for axle trouble. , only made of chocolate.

What was fitted in your one ? Standard or H/D ones, our one did one at a few hundred hours , had H/D ones fitted under warranty & never had any more problems

yes!!! I had a bet with myself ( can of thatchers haze) that james would reply negatively before speedy had a chance to comment.

I am sure the axles are made in house by JCB

I've heard of axle problems on 418's and have nothing to do with them, so it must be somewhat of a problem.
Weren't they a short lived model, the 419 replacing them fairly quickly?

Ours has not gotten as many as that on it , not sure as it's been away on a job for you last month or so, will be home tomorrow so will know then .

I know of several 41something machines that have done this.
