JCB 530 70 Rear diff removal

My loadall has a problem with the rear diff i have dropped the axle off and it looks like the steering ram has to come off to un bolt the diff from the casing . is there any thing that needs be done to get the ram out i have unbolted the end cap removed the hydraulic fitting and tried to hit out but it dose not budge .
