Jcb locking pins

Anyone having problems with the locking pins on the jcb tool carrier headstock snapping had a few go and it's looking like they have been over heat treated and now very brittle

Not here on a tm310s. Obvious, but have you got a good fitting stop for the headstock to push against on the implement? They’re not designed for pulling either and need to keep force away from the pins.

This doesn't look right to me centre is diff cristaline structure to the outer bit and outer has been broken for wee bit longer than inner bit

We have snapped one on ours a while back, looked just like that too.

We put it down to the rest on the implement that takes the pressure to the headstock when pushing and lifting on the being a bit worn and letting the pin get the load.
A little fettle with the welder sorted it.
Of course if you are abusing it in reverse, pulling with the bucket down thats not good for it.
