JCB Robot skid steer

Anyone got one? Our old scraper tractor will have disintegrated by next winter and finding a suitable replacement tractor is difficult. Thought a skid steer would be handier but my dad likes scraping and I can't see him clambering in and out of a skid steer so thought the jcb might be better?

We don't have a robot but we took the scraper off our old kubota and put it on the bobcat. It's much better to use on the bobcat so would recommend a skidsteer.

We ran a robot 190 for years, it was a great machine very reliable and the side door was great. I always thought the bobcat idea was dangerous climbing over the grab/scrapper, one slip and you may lose one. We changed to a small kramer telehandler as it was a lot more comfortable, versatile and believe or not cheaper than the jcb . Yet it is not as manoeuvrable. The only fault we had for scrapping with our maxiscrape was the robot had no float on the boom so it could wear scraper blades hard

I've got a Robot 190 @GTB cracking piece of kit, got it for similar reasons to what you're thinking, Dad getting on a bit and didn't like the thought of him climbing over the grab into the cab as on our old MF skid before it decided to barbeque itself...

We looked into one, but cant justify the difference in nearly £10k between new holland and a jcb!! Just for the sake of a door?!

We havent long had a NH218 brilliant bit of kit, bigger cab than others and the boom will fill to the middle of a trailer compared to others!! Cant rate the NH enough!

yeah we got a shock when we tried to change ours 28k for a new one when the kramer at the time was 26k and the kramer will take bales out to ewes in the winter as it is on very wide tyres but the robot was strictly a yard machine

I would have the Kramer over a skid at that difference

Yes we run one. Bought because scraper tractor was fuced and matbro was tempremental. Sheds were small so getting others to feed wasn't always an option so bought as a back up.
Dad loves it as he's the only one who scrapes. He would refuse to climb in and out of front tbh.

Got a Kramer 1245 on demo at the mo,but going to look at a 155 robot later today, looking like the jcb is going to be cheaper by some bit and priced a NH skid steer as well which was 32k!! Not sure what size though as I'm not familiar with those machines

we used to have a 170 robot (similar rated to the 155) but it was way to light for our jobs struggled with a big bale of silage for example and quickly traded it for a 190 which was a much more capable machine. The Kramer will stack bales of wet silage all day long 4 high no problem

the good thing with the kramer is that its got a euro headstock on it so would mean not having too buy any attachments at all,rep coming back tomorrow with a price on the demo machine thats here, just seen one in germany at a dealer online with 35 hours on for 26k

yeah we paid 26k for ours but 3 years ago. We have a bobcat faceplate on as all our attachments were from the robot days. Unless you are really restricted for space and need skiddy manouvreability the kramer is far more capable you can unload straw artics , fert wagons 2 bags at a time the extra forward reach is invaluable IMO

The mini shovel is yes couple of local farms got them around here, I like the 135 skidsteer as we have a bit of outside and it's nice to be in at 4am on a cold morning!
