JD 40/50 series pick up hitch

Just bought a well used 2650 4wd SG2 cab with Axla pick up hitch. There doesn’t appear to be enough travel in the lift arms to lift the pick up hitch sufficiently enough to disengage the crooks, I assume the crescent shaped pick up hitch lift arms are stretched out of shape. There doesn’t look like much adjustment either in the lower eyes. Can you buy copy lift arms, or is there a way of refurbishing them, or even a bodge? The tractor is primarily going to be used for a straw chopper so pickup hitch use will be very little. Thanks in advance

Do you have buttons on the wheel arch to lift and lower, they may be able to lift the hitch a bit higher. I suspect the lift rods need adjustment. They are very likely seized though :(

When I bought 2040 tractor the pickup hitch was well used and very worn so it meant getting under tractor to cut out worn holes from frame and welding in new holes then cutting off eyes as there was no more adjustment
And making new eyes also building up
Where eyes fit onto
Also cutting out worn holes from frame where it fixes under tractor and it worked perfect when I finished

this is the type of bodge I would suggest, basically a bit of pipe as a bush to take up a bit of slack in a worn hole
